At Hope Therapy & Counselling Services, Silvina offers a calm, compassionate space for adults (18+) who are navigating anxiety, trauma, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Silvina holds a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB) and is a Registered Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She works integratively, meaning therapy is shaped around you — not the other way around.
Her foundation is person-centred, grounded in warmth, empathy and unconditional positive regard. Alongside this, she integrates psychodynamic understanding to gently explore how early experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing present-day struggles. Her work is always trauma-informed, ensuring safety, pacing and empowerment remain central throughout the process.
A Space Where You Are Not “Fixed” — Because You Are Not Broken
Silvina believes healing is not about correcting something defective. It is about reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been silenced, overlooked, or pushed aside. Therapy becomes a place to rediscover your voice, strengthen your sense of self, and build internal safety.
Clients often say they feel safe quickly with Silvina. That safety is intentional. It is created through consistency, non-judgement, and genuine human presence. She meets clients human-to-human — not from a distance, but alongside them.
Specialist Experience in Trauma and Abuse Recovery
Silvina has extensive experience supporting survivors of domestic, sexual and psychological abuse, as well as those recovering from financial abuse and exploitation. She understands how trauma can live in the nervous system, affect self-esteem, impact relationships, and shape how safe the world feels.
Her trauma-informed practice ensures that:
- You are never pushed to disclose more than feels manageable
- Emotional regulation and coping resources are built alongside exploration
- Power and choice remain firmly with you
This approach is particularly important for survivors who may not have previously experienced safe, validating support.
Cultural Identity, Transition and Belonging
Originally from Argentina, Silvina brings both lived and professional experience supporting Latin American clients in the UK. She understands the complexity of cultural transition — the identity shifts, grief, and subtle losses that can accompany relocation.
For many clients, therapy becomes a place to integrate two worlds: maintaining connection to heritage while building belonging in a new culture. Silvina works fluently in both English and Spanish, offering bilingual therapy for those who feel more at ease expressing themselves in their native language.
