You do not need to know which service you want before getting in touch
Choosing a therapy can feel like another task on an already long list. Person-centred counselling, CBT, EMDR, ADHD support, relationship therapy — the options are real and the distinctions matter, but you should not have to work them out alone before reaching out.
Our free 15-minute consultation is specifically designed for this. You tell us what is going on. We listen, ask a few questions, and help you understand which approach and which therapist is most likely to be useful. There is no pressure, no obligation, and no expectation that you arrive with an answer ready.
Below you will find all of our services grouped by type. If something resonates, follow the link to learn more. If you are not sure where to start, the consultation is the place to begin.

ADHD Support
Two clear routes — ongoing ADHD counselling for the emotional layer, and structured support alongside a formal assessment. No diagnosis required. Online UK-wide and face-to-face.

Alexithymia Counselling
Counselling for the relational cost of reduced emotional access — being misread as emotionally unavailable, internal blankness, and the identity impact of not being able to name what you feel. Paced around what you can access.

Dyslexia Counselling
Not reading support — emotional support. Counselling for the anxiety, shame, and concealment that accumulate around dyslexia in adults. No reading, no writing, no literacy exercises in sessions.
Explore dyslexia counselling →

Not sure which service is right for you?
That is completely normal. Most people who contact us are not sure whether they want CBT or counselling, or whether they need a specialist service or a general one. The free 15-minute consultation is the right place to work that out. You tell us what has been going on. We listen and help you understand what would be most useful — with no pressure and no obligation to commit to anything.
If a phone call feels like too much, you can request an email consultation instead. That is a completely reasonable adjustment to make.

SCoPEd Band C
MBACP & SNCPS Senior Accredited
“Having worked for more than 25 years in senior management, I saw the same thing repeatedly — people struggling with mental health and relationship challenges, and so often struggling to access the right support when it was needed. It was out of this recognition of human need that Hope was born.”
Ian Stockbridge founded Hope Therapy after 25+ years leading large commercial teams – watching colleagues carry stress, anxiety, and personal difficulty with nowhere to turn. He retrained rigorously, now holding Senior Accredited status with both the BACP and NCPS, alongside SCoPEd Band C — the highest independent competence verification in the UK counselling profession.
He remains a practising therapist, clinical supervisor, published author of PMDD Uncovered, and co-presenter of The Talk Room Podcast. Hope Therapy was built on the things he saw were most broken – and designed, from the ground up, to do better.
