Who are we and what do we do?
Hope Therapy offers Mental Health and Wellbeing Support throughout the UK. This can either be done face to face at our practices in Wantage in Oxfordshire or Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire.
Alternatively, if there is a very specialist therapeutic need or location is a barrier, we have a panel of qualified Counsellors, Therapists and Coaches able to offer on-line or Skype support anywhere in the country.

Who runs Hope Therapy and Mindfulness?
As founder of Hope Therapy and Mindfulness Services, I completely understand how nerve-racking it can be to reach out to someone for help. However, whether you are looking for Counselling, CBT, Mindfulness, Life or Executive Coaching, our role is to make that step as easy as it possibly can be for you.
We work collaboratively with you to offer a tailor-made approach, depending on your individual needs.
At all times we will work at your pace, with compassion and confidentiality at the core of everything that we do.
Hope offers Face to Face support either on a one to one basis or in Groups. Alternatively we can offer Skype Mental Health, Wellbeing or Coaching support.
We specialise primarily in Depression, Stress Management (either work or home based), Anxiety (Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobias, OCD etc), Self Esteem, Relationship Issues, Bereavement and Loss or Goal Based Life or Executive Coaching
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Sessions are offered, in the form of an 8-week program of weekly group sessions. This is a beautiful blend of ancient wisdom, alongside the research rigour of CBT.
This is an evidenced based program both practiced within and recommended by the NHS.
Hope believes that everyone deserves the very best support when reaching out for help with Mental Health and Wellbeing needs. That is why it is so important that there is a strong evidence base to what is on offer.
There is a great deal of research evidence to show that CBT works effectively in treating a variety of mental health conditions. This research has been carefully reviewed by the National Institute for Clinical and Health Care Excellence (NICE).
NICE provides independent, evidence-based guidance for the NHS on the most effective ways to treat disease and ill health. CBT is also recommended by NICE for the treatment of such conditions as Depression and Anxiety Disorders.
The Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) group classes, that are delivered by ‘Hope’ are also recommended by the NHS as an evidence led and research based relapse prevention program.
Having previously worked in Directorial and Senior Management positions for over 25 years, I have first-hand experience of seeing how people’s complex emotional and psychological needs can impact their everyday lives in profound ways. This can lead to a sense of Desperation and Helplessness along with a sense of Mental or Emotional Exhaustion.
Often people are unable or afraid to reach out and ask for help, either at work or to those closest to them.
Hope can offer a professional, specialist coaching service, both independent and separate from your everyday life.
Professional standards are incredibly important. As a member of a variety of professional bodies including the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), British Association Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and the Coaching Association (CA), the highest standards are maintained and are in accordance with the strict ethical frameworks laid down by the various professional bodies.
