As a qualified counsellor, you already possess the skills and knowledge needed to provide effective support to individuals who are struggling with a range of emotional and psychological issues. However, as clients often come to us with complex and traumatic experiences, it’s important to continue developing our expertise in trauma therapy.
Our post-qualification diploma is designed to help counsellors like you deepen their knowledge and understanding of trauma and learn how to provide effective support to clients who have experienced trauma. Our program covers a range of topics related to trauma therapy, including trauma-informed care, evidence-based treatments for trauma, and the impact of trauma on mental health.
We believe that trauma therapy is an essential component of counselling, and our program is designed to help counsellors integrate trauma therapy into their practice. By completing our diploma, you’ll gain the tools and techniques needed to help clients work through their traumatic experiences and achieve long-term healing and recovery.
Our program is delivered by experienced trauma therapists who are passionate about sharing their expertise with others. You’ll learn from professionals who have dedicated their careers to trauma therapy and who have a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges of this work.
In addition to trauma-specific training, our post-qualification diploma also covers other essential topics, such as ethical and legal considerations in counselling, communication skills, and client-centered approaches. Our goal is to provide counsellors with a comprehensive understanding of counselling theory and practice and to help them become more effective in their work.
If you’re a qualified counsellor who is passionate about supporting clients who have experienced trauma, our post-qualification diploma may be the right fit for you. Contact us today to learn more about our program and how we can help you take your counselling practice to the next level.

I am a psychotherapist, * EMDR therapist and trainer with 15+ years of experience in working with trauma. I am trained in the Rewind Technique by Human Givens College. The Rewind Technique is a gentle trauma technique that allows you to process the traumatic memory while feeling safe and present.
I have also been trained in Trauma-Focused CBT by the Anna Freud Centre in London, which is a gentle way to increase a sense of safety, working to manage your post-trauma symptoms such as re-living, avoidance, hyper-arousal and negative views of yourself or the world.
* EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. Using an 8-phase protocol, we use bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements) to help desensitise and process traumatic memories, after which we install a more helpful thought. This powerful method can also be used for addictions, complex grief and many other difficulties.
