WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"When I started my counselling with Ian, I was not in a good way. I was suffering with stress and anxiety problems. Ian makes you feel at ease and is very understanding. He has excellent techniques and I found I could relate to Ian very well."

What is CBT - On Demand?
CBT, or Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, has been proved to help treat a wide range of emotional and physical health conditions in adults, young people and children. CBT looks at how we think about a situation and how this affects the way we act. In turn, our actions can affect how we think and feel. Through a self-guided online learning portal, you follow the lessons to learn how to change your behaviour, or your thinking patterns, or both.
Clients who choose to use the On-Demand option are provided with access to the portal, where the instruction is broken down into six modules. The system uses evidence-based teaching, the same as we use in our group and individual sessions. At the end of each section, there are home practise exercises that are designed to support the presentation that you are working on.
The modules are designed to require 1 - 2 weeks to complete. You must spend a minimum of one week on each module, to ensure you have time to process the learnings.
Overall, it is an easy, engaging and well-designed evidence-based programme. Clients use them either on a stand-alone basis or to accompany individual sessions with a Hope Therapy counsellor.
What can CBT - On-Demand help with?

How CBT - On-Demand is delivered
CBT - On Demand is a self-guided programme offered through an online portal. You can view the lessons at your convenience and take your time working through the home practice exercises. The programme is designed to last a minimum of six weeks but can take up to twelve.
You can use the portal as a standalone service or you can pair it with our remote CBT sessions online through our Hope Network of counsellors.
