This has been an incredibly helpful counselling experience with Hope Therapy. When I first began my sessions, I was experiencing levels of anxiety and depression which had been preventing me from living life with any clarity or perspective. But with the therapy being welcoming and understanding from the get go, I soon became comfortable exploring my anxieties to the extent where I was able to address their underlying problems much more quickly than I thought. This progress was due to the face to face discussions and effectiveness of the tools I was given to deal with these problems, and I'm hugely grateful for the progress this enabled me to make. Many thanks to Hope Therapy, and I would also recommend it to anyone who has been experiencing anxiety and depression as well.

I first went to Ian in 2018 following a bereavement, and it is an understatement to say that Ian has helped me so much. I have had therapists in the past, but never have I had one that made me feel instantly comfortable, and in a position where I could trust and explore my most vulnerable self in such a safe setting. With Ian's help, I have really modified my behaviour, and for the first time in my life, I can say that I am truly content with my life, and I am able to face life's ups and downs without getting overwhelmed as I once used to. I cannot recommend Ian enough, he is a brilliant therapist, and a wonderful person through and through. You will not regret it!

Back in January 2017, I was in a dark place. Although married for 46 years, I could see that dissolving before my eyes. I was bad tempered, awkward and sometimes even out of control. That is where Ian came in. Now in November 2017 I am back in control! A weekly session and CBT techniques have conspired against the person I had become. But more than that, Ian was great in his role to get me to see how I could change. It was "do this" or "do that" it was suggestions and getting me to see a way out for myself. To make those changes and maintain them. Ian, I can never thank you enough for the second chance that you have brought to me. I am forever in your debt.

I’ve just finished a course of counselling with Michele and I would recommend her to anyone - in fact I’ve already recommended her to many! She made me feel comfortable and relaxed through all of our sessions and really listened to me when I felt that no one could help me, and didn’t want to.
