Clinical supervision is not only incredibly important for counsellors, psychotherapists and therapists of any level of training or experience, but is regarded as an ethical requirement for practice.

Not only do all of Hope therapy’s counsellors receive regular clinical supervision to support our own practice. But as an organisation, we are lucky enough to work with a number of trained supervisors that are able to offer their services to other counsellors too.

Supervision can help you to find ways of working with presentations with which you are not familiar, identifying blind spots, enhance practice skills and to explore dilemmas.

The British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP), along with other counselling and membership bodies all consider appropriate supervision to be an essential part of ethical practice.

If you are a counsellor or therapist currently searching for a supervisor, we may be able to offer supervision from our team. We have people that come from a variety of theoretical and practise backgrounds, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Person-Centred (PCA)

  • Integrative

Our supervisors are all experienced counsellors who have also engaged with additional supervisory training. So, will be able to understand your requirements both from the perspective of the supervisor, but also as someone who has done the job that you do or are training to do.

All supervision is currently offered via zoom or skype, so we are able to support you wherever you are based in the country.
